End of a project... or is it?

When I started this class, I never thought I would have a blog, let alone one in a language that I was learning.  Now that this project is finishing, I might continue this blog.  I'm taking Conversational Japanese next semester which, if I'm not mistaken, is the advanced course.  It would be a great way to practice my Japanese outside of just talking to people.  So, look for more from 紅の鷲 on this blog.

僕の好きな祝日

僕の好きな祝日はハローウィンです。　ハローウィンは十月三十一日にあります。　　アメリカの祝日ですが、他の国にもあります。　　ハローウィンに、子供はコスツームを纏って、近所を歩いて、　"Trick or treat" と言います。 (まとう　=  to put on)  そして、人々はこの子供を飴玉 (candy) を呉れます。　　（くれる　= to give)　　子供のとき、ハローウィンの楽しい思い出でした.  子供にとって、ハローウィンは楽しい祝日ですねえ。

僕の好きなレストラン

僕の好きなレストランはバスストップです。シチカレッジの近くにあります。ドームから、ブロッドウアエと百三十五ストリートまで歩いて行きます。値段は中々安いです。　このレストランは朝御飯と昼御飯と晩御飯があります。メニュウはアメリカ料理があります。　好きなレストランは何ですか？

僕の近所はとても面白いです.  僕のアパートの先で、 大きい公園があります.  僕のアパートの近くに、 レストランは沢山がります.

Why I'm learning Japanese

Most likely, I'll be posting in English, since I'm still learning Japanese.  Yup, it's me, 紅の鷲。By the way, "kurenai no washi" means "crimson eagle."

I've been fascinated by Japanese culture, and the language itself.  I'll admit that I got interested in learning Japanese after seeing some anime and manga.  Languages always interest me; you can tell a lot about a culture through its language and its music.  By learning about the language, one can also learn about the culture.  This world is getting smaller, thanks to modern technology.  Sending a letter used to take days; now, it takes seconds.  I can send a message to someone in Tokyo or Osaka as fast as I can send one to New Jersey.  Besides, being able to speak more than one language will be beneficial in the future.  It may come in handy someday.
